Not Quite How We Thought

He said to me, "There is no monster"
Proudly I said, "Except for me"
He said, "No you are not the monster"
Then I thought for a few moments
I thought I had it figured out, "The devil he's the monster"
He smiled, "No, there is no monster. Monsters are big scary things that cannot be defeated. There is no monster!"
